PURPOSE:To attain smooth fader interlocking, to obtain sure fade-in or cross- fade at fader interlocking and also to attain correct music selection at non-interlocking by changing the reproduction start position depending on the fader interlocking and the non-interlocking. CONSTITUTION:Since no fader interlocking signal is inputted at the fader non- interlocking, a system controller 12 activates a drive section so as to allow a tone arm to be brought into lead-in, and when an inter-music signal is outputted from a comparator 11, an arm stop signal is fed to an arm drive section 13 in the timing of the leading so as to stop the lead-in. Then after a prescried time required until the overline of the tone arm is finished, an elevation drive section 14 is activated so as to descend the tone arm. Through the operation above, a stylus tip 3 of a pickup cartridge 2 falls down nearly the center of inter-music and then traces a recording disc. At the fader interclocking, when the tone arm completes the overrun, the stylus tip 3 is held to the elevating state positioned above the vicinity of the inner peripheral edge of the inter-music (no recording band).
