PURPOSE:To easily grasp the position of an internal defect in a body to be inspected by summing up plural reflected waves obtained from a specific position of the body to be inspected and regarding the peak of the sum waveform as defect position data. CONSTITUTION:Flaw detection is performed plural times as to the body to be inspected while a probe 2 is moved and respective flaw detection results are displayed on an A scope. The flaw detection is carried out X times and a reflected wave is compared with a reference waveform N every time the flaw detection is performed once; and signals having a level larger than the reference waveform N are summed up merely X times in data memory 12. The peak of the sum waveform is displayed on a recording part 15 as position data on the internal defect in the objective body. Thus, the position of the defect is easily grasped regardless of the shape of the inspected body and a flaw detection part. |
