PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and cost reduction over the entire player by moving a disc positioned on a prescribed position on a container to the playing position while it is clipped by the positioning member and driving the positioning means with a moving member. CONSTITUTION:Positioning members 61, 62 comprising synchronizing plates 57, 58 and clip plates 54, 55 position a pressing member 52 on a support member 51 and position the disc inserted from the slot of a housing 2 to a prescribed position on the container 22. Moreover, the positioning members 61, 62 are operated with the movement of a moving member 14 after a tray 10 reaches a prescribed position, the engaging state between pin members 54f, 55f, 57h, 58h provided to the positioning members 61, 62 and the disc outer circumference, that is, the disc clipping state is released. Thus, various modes are played without provision of a special drive mechanism so as to miniaturize the entire player and cost reduction.
