PURPOSE:To obtain superior electrophotographic characteristics long and stable in pot life, capable of controlling concn. in a wide range, free from restriction of the coating method to be used, by using a combination of a specified electrostatic charge transfer material, a binder, and a solvent for forming a charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge transfer layer of a laminate type photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate contains alpha-phenylstilbene represented by formula I (R<1> is H, alkyl, alkoxy, -N=R<3>.R<4>; R<3>, R<4> are each alkyl, aralkyl, or the like, or they may form a ring; R<2> is H, alkyl, or phenyl; X is benzene or naphthalene ring or the like; m is 0 or 1; and N is 1-2), and a polycarbonate resin obtained by polymerizing phosgen with 4,4'-dihydroxyphenyl-1,1-cyclohexane represented by formula II, and the polycarbonate resin has repeating units represented by formula III. The charge transfer layer is formed by using a coating fluid prepared by dissolving said transfer material and said polycarbonate into a solvent. Such a coating fluid does not change with the lapse of time and the use of it permits a high quality laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body to be formed. |
