摘要 PURPOSE:To branch transmitted light variously with a little transmission loss and to obtain branching structure which is easy to form by selecting the push pressure of a branching material linear part to a quartz rod core properly. CONSTITUTION:When a branch part is formed, a branching material 8 is joined to the peripheral side part of the quartz rod core 1 of the linear part of an optical transmission line through a silicon rubber layer 9 at one linear part 82. The silicon rubber layer 9 has a recessed curved part 91 for receiving a semiperipheral part of the quartz rod in both flanks, and one or both of the recessed curved parts 91 have curvature a little smaller than the radius of the quartz rod and vary in contacting surface area with push pressure in the direction of an arrow 10. Then, the branching material linear part 82 is pressed against the peripheral side part of the quartz rod core 1 across the silicon rubber layer 9 under specific push pressure and they are bundled in said pressing state by using, for example, an FEP tape 71. Consequently, the branching structure is obtained and the quartz rod core 1 of the linear part of a branch-side optical transmission line is connected to an end surface of the other linear part 82 of the branching material 8 through a connection part 4.
