PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the AT-cut crystal resonator even when a high frequency is used by cutting a crystal into planes to about 2.5mm. X-axial length and about 5mm. Z'-axial length, and forming the terminal part of an electrode at both Z'-axial end parts. CONSTITUTION:The AT-cut crystal piece 102 which are cut in X-axial and Z'-axial planes is about 2.5mm. long in the X-axial direction and about 5mm. long in the Z'-axial direction. Electrodes 103a and 103b are formed on both surfaces of the crystal piece 102, and terminal parts 104a and 104b extend in a Z-axial direction from part of the electrodes 103a and 103b and are opposite in direction on both surfaces of the crystal piece 102. This crystal resonator 101 is inserted into slits formed in support pieces 106 and 106 on a base 105 and fixed with a conductive adhesive 109. Consequently, the resonator is reduced in size even when a high frequency is used. |
