PURPOSE:To correct curl due to the heating of a fixing roller by composing a couple of rollers which discharge a form of heat pipes and cooling a heated form speedily through the heat pipes. CONSTITUTION:A paper discharge roller 8 is longer than a paper roller 9 and made of a heat pipe; and it contacts the roller 9 at the heat absorbing part 13 of the heat pie and a radiation part 14 never contacts the roller 9. When the heated form is discharged by paper discharge rollers 8 and 9, methyl alcohol vaporizes with the heat of the form at the heat absorbing part 13 of a wick 12, and the pressure of the methyl alcohol in the wick 12 at the heat absorbing part 13 drops owing to the vaporization, so that the methyl alcohol flows from right to left. The vaporizing methyl alcohol, on the other hand, moves from left to right and is condensed at the radiation part 14, and the heat absorbed at the heat absorbing part 13 is radiated. This operation is repeated and the heated form is cooled, so that its curl is corrected. |
