EDITING METHOD OF RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE OF DIGITAL SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of signals and the occurrence of strange sounds before and behind an editing point by delaying one signal by using the other signal of a VTR as a reference and by compensating a chronological delay of reproduction signals when two units of VTR are simultaneously operated and cross fading is processed so as to edit signals. CONSTITUTION:While two units of VTR are simultaneously operated in the upstream of an editing point, each VTR independently reproduces signals, and a dummy signal is removed in accordance with sample number information of a field obtained from a signal. A chronological delay occurs in samples of a VTR1 and a VTR2 in terms of reproduction signal after its dummy signal is removed. The reproduction signal of the VTR1 is delayed by means of a sample clock of the VTR2 in a delay circuit 7, and a phase shift of the reproduction signal of the VTR2 is compensated. Editing is carried out by the reproduction signal of the VTR2 and that of the VTR1, which passes through the delay circuit 7.
