PURPOSE:To enable continuous searches for heading plural programs by recording repetitively position information of programs in recording and recorded programs on a digital information recording track of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:Numbers NOm of programs recorded in an area Y and the time expressed in units of hours, minutes and seconds froma start point of a tape T to a track PT1 are recorded in the 1st PCM latch PT1 of the area Y of the programs NOm. Thereafter, the time expressed in units of hours, minutes and seconds from the program NOm to each track are recorded in the track PT5... by jumping every three tracks. Hours, minutes and seconds up to the 1st tracks of respective programs NO1-NO(m-1) from the start point of each tape are recorded sequentially and repetitively by one by in other PCM track PT2.... Pilot signals f1, f2, f3, f4, f1... are recorded in correspondence to tracks PT1, PT2, PT3, PT4, PT5.... The tape position information can be read when a VTR is set to a reproduction mode and a tape is slightly moved. |
