TIME SWITCH WITH FORMAT CONVERSION FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To share a channel memory for converting a format of the time division multiple connection (TDMA) and to accomplish a control without consciousness of the TDMA by adding frame numbers from a counter to a control memory output and generating a necessary read address. CONSTITUTION:Two channel memories 1a and 1b which can read and write alternatively by one time division multiple (TDMA) having the time equivalent to a frame. A time switch memory M is constituted of the memories 1a and 1b. While a sequential write address AW produced by a counter 2 is inputted to the memory 1a, contents of a read address AP produced by an adder 5 are read out. A TDMA frame number FN produced by a counter 3 and a logic address AL of a channel number produced by a control memory 4 are inputted to an adder 5. The memories 1a and 1b are shared for changing a format of the TDMA, and a control can be accomplished without consciousness of the TDMA.
