Machine for the automatic tying of the elongate casings of food products such as sausages. At least one nozzle (hollow needle) 7 is supported from a bearing 2 in order to extend as far as the entry of a jack holder 10 containing a first jack for braking the casings sliding over the nozzle (hollow needle) 7 during their filling, and a second jack for gripping a filled sausage when the latter arrives at a detection element 21 which causes cutting-off of the sausagemeat and the rotation of the nozzle (hollow needle) 7; a tying is then formed, after which filling of the next sausage begins. <IMAGE>
