PURPOSE:To improve the strength of a stator coil for thermal stress by providing a reinforced fiber between the strand conductor and the main insulating layer of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A stator coil 1 has a plurality of strand conductors 2 coated with strand insulators 3, reinforced fiber 9 on which the conductors 2 are wound, and an insulating layer 4 for surrounding the conductors 2 and the fiber 9. The layer 4 is composed of a lower fastening layer 4 for securing the conductors 2, the fiber 9, a main insulating layer 6 and a protective layer 7. Further, a low resistance corona shield layer 8 formed by coating conductive paint is formed on the outermost periphery. The fiber 9 is formed by twisting aromatic polyamide fiber in a string shape when the fastening the conductors 2, and wound in recesses formed at the label transfer unit of the conductor 3. |
