PURPOSE:To prevent stones from colliding with hood inner reinforcement, by installing a projecting strip, which extends toward a hood, on the top of a car radiator grille. CONSTITUTION:A hood 10 is put together with hood inner reinforcement 11 at the backside and built in by hemming so as to be rolled inward with the tip part. Therefore, the hood inner reinforcement 11 goes up along an outer plate from the tip end, and afterward goes downward with a bulge, successively forming a large U-shaped section for securing its rigidity, thus a hood lock is attached hereat. On the top 20a of a radiator grille, there is provided with a projecting strip 21, extending toward the hood 10, at the rear position of a tip 12 of the hood 10, in a car width direction. In case of suchlike structure, even if a stone S comes flying in and jumps thereinto from a clearance C, it will collide with the projecting strip 21. If the stone rebounds thereat, it collides with the hemmed hood 10 so that no collision with the hood inner reinforcement 11 happens there. |
