PURPOSE:To operate a high power factor stationary Scherbuis device in high power factor without using a special power factor regulator by composing the secondary side inverter of a forcibly communicating element or circuit such as a GTO to communicate with leading phase. CONSTITUTION:The secondary output of a wound-rotor induction motor 1 connected at the primary side with an AC power source is regenerated through a converter 2, a DC reactor 3, an inverter 4 and an inverter transformer 5 to the AC power source, thereby controlling the speed of the motor 1. The inverter 4 is composed of a forcibly communicating element or circuit, controlled at the conducting angles in the forcibly commutation by a gate controller to flow a leading current to the inverter itself. |
