Spirally fluted shank milling cutter

The end milling cutter has at least two adjacently running spiral flutes. Its face cutting edges are arranged in a non-uniform manner, at varying angles to each other and with minimal angle deviation in relation to the transverse or normal axis. This helps to suppress vibrations and resonances and thus enables both rough and smooth working of workpieces. It also has a helical rib (2) which has a cutting edge (4), some areas (3) of which have slightly reduced diameters. These areas promote chip flow and chip breaking.
