Device making it possible for certain handicapped persons to take the apparatus on trips, which apparatus, thanks to its well thought out design and lightness, can be easily mounted, adapted to any hotel toilet and rapidly removed, then put back into place in an appropriate suitcase. The apparatus consists of a seat made of light plastic material, fitted at its corners with supports having elastic bores b, forming a clamping collar for the feet f and f' by means of screws. Put into place, the device allows the user to rise more easily, on his own, by means of support rods with pommel m, which can be positioned to the liking of the user, according to the abilities of his upper limbs. The invention is of interest to handicapped persons such as paraplegics or elderly persons, insofar as they still retain a certain muscular force in their arms. <IMAGE>
