PURPOSE:To constitute an existing facsimile of a network by identifying a responded result to an audio response designating means and executing substitutional transmission/reception on the basis of the responded result. CONSTITUTION:A private telephone line 19 is connected to a control part 16 in a facsimile equipment 10 to be used as a master device in addition to a telephone set 17. An audio response part 15 sends a voice designated by a facsimile body 12 to a subscriber's telephone line 18 or 19. Detecting termination, the control part 16 actuates the response part 15. When an operator on the originating side depresses a pushbutton dial in accordance with the contents of the voice, the equipment 10 executes substitutionally a function required by the originating side.
