PURPOSE:To perform straightening easily without damaging a wire rod with low tensile force by providing in parallel in zigzags a roller having a ring groove on a rotary straightening device and by giving a winding movement to a wire rod with this ring groove. CONSTITUTION:A main body holding shaft 8 of a straightening device 6 is fitted to a lathe and a wire rod 4 is inserted from a shaft hole 9a of the main body 7 of the device and is penetrated into a shaft hole 9b via each ring groove 10a, 11a, 12a of straightening rollers 10, 11 and regulating roller 12, and a guide groove 15a of a guide block 15, and is projected from a hollow aperture of the holding shaft 8. The regulating roller 12 is then eccentrically adjusted adequately and a part of its peripheral surface is projected as desired to the side of the straightening rollers 10, 11 beyond the shaft core to make the wire material 4 in snaking condition. With this condition the wire rod 4 is drawn to an allow direction with rotating a lathe and the straightening device 6 and a straightening is performed with the winding given to every direction intersecting at right angles to the shaft core.
