PURPOSE:To increase voltage characteristics, flatability of discharge voltage, and cycle performance of a secondary battery by using an oxide of Cr and V having a specified formular as a positive electrode material. CONSTITUTION:An oxide comprising Cr and V having a formula of CrXV2(1-x) O5-(2+y)x (0.2<=x<=0.8, 0.1<=y<=1.0). A button type nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using this positive active material keeps original charge-discharge voltage characterisics even after repeating of charge-discharge, and has good discharge performance, flat discharge voltage, and high discharge capacity. |
