PURPOSE:To simply repair and restore a flaw portion and a welded portion of a metal member subjected to surface frosting finish so as to be almost indistinguishable in its appearance from a parent material by spraying and projecting a projecting material formed by mixing together both round particles and square ones. CONSTITUTION:The rough surface of a roll 1 is transferred onto a metal band plate 2 surface passing through between a pair of the rolls 1, 1 as a dial finish metal member, and the metal member is cut out into a prescribed size by a shear blade 3. After first polishing a flow portion of a welded portion of the metal member, a projecting material formed by mixing together both round- shaped particles (e.g., glass bead) and square-shaped particles (glass powder) properly selected in thier mixing ratio is sprayed and projected on the above portions which are then repaired and restored so as not to be almost indistinguishable from a parent part in its appearance.
