PURPOSE:To know immediately the telephone number of a service center in case a fault is generated in a copying machine which is being used, by writing the telephone number of the service center in a nonvolatile memory provided separately from a ROM for storing a processing program. CONSTITUTION:A nonvolatile memory (NVM) 2c stores the telephone number of a service center, and does not lose the storage contents even in case a power source of a device is disconnected. In case of writing a new telephone number in the NVM2c, when a telephone number changing code (for instance, *000) is inputted to a main frame control part 2 by a ten key 1e, the input contents are converted to a character and displayed on a display part 4. When it is confirmed that a correct telephone number changing code is inputted, a new telephone number is inputted by operating the ten key 1e. In such a way, in case a fault is generated in a copying machine which is being used, the telephone number of the service center can be displayed immediately. |
