PURPOSE:To set noises from the ground film of a medium to the degree of those produced when a Co-Cr single film is used, by setting the coersive force of a head making material to <=0.1Oe. CONSTITUTION:It is desirable as a reducing method of noises produced from a ground film to minimize the residual magnetism of a magnetic head. In practical ways, it is desirable to reduce the coercive force of the material for making the magnetic head to <=0.1Oe. In general, the residual magnetism of the magnetic head decreases as the coercive force decreases. Therefore, when a magnetic head having a smaller coercive force is used, noises produced from the ground film can be made smaller. Actually, when a magnetic head manufactured of a magnetic substance having a coercive force of <=0.1Oe is used, the ground film noises can be suppressed to a degree which is the same as that of noises produced when a Co-Cr single film is used. It is clearly understood from the figure that the ground film noises when a magnetic substance having a coercive force of <=0.1Oe is used for making the magnetic head are the same level as that of the noises produced when the Co-Cr single film is used. |
