PURPOSE:To make the operation of a wheel brake for parking ever so light, by installing a hydraulic cylinder alongside in an interlocking mechanism between a parking lever and the wheel brake as well as installing hydraulic pressure feed-drain devices which feed drain hydraulic pressure to or from the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic cylinder 7 is installed alongside in an interlocking mechanism 2 between a rear-wheel brake Br and a parking brake lever 1. And, a central processing unit controls a normally closed inlet valve 12i and a normally opened outlet valve 12o for their opening or closing on the basis of each output out of an ignition sensor S1, and accelerator sensor S2, a select sensor S3, a speed sensor S4, a parking sensor S5 and a brake sensor S6, whereby hydraulic fluid is fed to the said hydraulic cylinder 7. In consequence, the rear-wheel brake Br is automatically operated for parking. And, with the parking brake lever 1 operated, the rear-wheel brake is manually operated via a cylinder body 8 and an equalizer lever 6. |
