摘要 PURPOSE:To produce no shock even if an accumulator is communicated with the liquid chamber of strut at the starting time of a car by disposing an opening and closing valve which is closed when the liquid in the accumulator is released, between a joint part and the strut. CONSTITUTION:A hydro-pneumatic suspension 1 consists of a strut 5 expandable vertically and an accumulator 5. An oil chamber 5B and the oil passage 8 of a piston rod 4C are communicated with each other by a communication pipe 15. A switching valve 17 is disposed in a supply pipe 21 which connects a pump 16 to the communication pipe 15, and an opening and closing valve 18 is disposed between the strut 4 and a joint part 24. Pressures in the oil chamber 5B of the accumulator 5, and in both the oil chambers 7A and 7B of the strut 4 are detected by a pressure sensor 32. When the pressure in the oil chamber 5B becomes equal to those in the oil chambers 7A and 7B of the strut 4, the sensor 32 detects those equal pressures and produces a signal, which puts the valve 18 into the open state.
