PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful consumption of electric power under no-load for higher economization of energy and to prevent the electric shock by the voltage in a working electrode by installing a no-load current interrupter consisting of a specific mechanism to the input part side of a welding machine. CONSTITUTION:A branching device SA consisting of a transformer T2 for dropping voltage and a rectifier D1 is juxtaposed to the input side of a welding machine W contg. a transformer T1 for welding. A relay operating circuit AMP and a magnet relay MR are connected to the secondary side of the rectifier D1 on the output side. An input side contact a1 and output side contact a2 to be operated thereby are provided and a contact a3 is provided between a magnet switch MS connected thereto and the branching device side. Even if a main switch S is thrown in with such device, the contacts a1, a2, a3 are held open and therefore even if the contacts b1, b2, b3 provided between the secondary side of the transformer T2 and the secondary side of the transformer T1 are held connected, no-load current does not flow to the welding machine W and the secondary voltage of the transformer for welding is not impressed to a welding rod holder HP. The electric shock of the operator by the holder HP is obviated as well. |
