While its wall 1-2 is expanded by the internal pressure, there is arranged around the pipe a metal collar 3 which is blocked with the aid of a concrete compound 4. The pipe is emptied to reduce its diameter and create a free annular space, into which concrete is again injected, which forms an intermediate mass 5. After setting of this mass, radial channels are pierced through the wall 1-2 in order that, once the pipe has been put back into service, the internal pressure is exerted from then on on said mass and is entirely supported by the collar 3. <IMAGE>
