The invention relates to the assembly of glued-laminated timber frames and more particularly to a system for assembling the rafter to a column 2 in order to form the half-truss of a portal frame or an arch of large span. This system consists of two assembly parts 3 and 4 one 3 of which, formed by a glued-laminated timber triangle, is glued inside the re-entrant angle alpha formed by the lower surfaces 1' and 2' of the rafter 1 and of the column 2 which are joined together, whilst the other 4, formed by a metal bevel, is fixed by means of anchor bolts 5 on the outside of the salient angle beta formed by the upper surfaces 1" and 2" of the rafter 1 and of the column 2.
