PURPOSE:To enable safe and accurate measurement of the displacement distance of a driven pile, by a method wherein the forward end of a beam rod having a portion in the vicinity of a rear end rotatably supported is located so that it can follow the vertical movement of a pile body, and the rear thereof is attached to a strain gauge using an elastic plate. CONSTITUTION:A beam rod 13 is rotated resulting from vertical displacement of a pile body 10 during driving thereof to cause bending deformation of an elastic plate 14 of a strain gauge 15. A change in the resistance value of a resistance wire 16 due to expansion and contraction on the upper and the under surface of the elastic plate 14 is fetched as an output signal from a signal processing circuit 18, and vertical movement displacement of the pile body 10 is recorded on a record paper. This eliminates a risk of a worker working under a hammer, and permits improvement of measurement precision. |
