Arrangement for the driving of a tunnel by means of a shield tunnelling machine for the support of the driven tunnel tube with tubbing support consisting of tubbing rings corrugated with predetermined wave length in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel and composed of segments. With its shield tail, the shield tunnelling machine overlaps the tubbing support already placed. A sealing device is effective between the shield tail and the overlapped tubbing support. The shield tail has an extension section which is longer towards the tubbing support than corresponds to the wave length of the tubbing support. The extension section directly overlaps the tubbing support as a sealing jacket. The sealing jacket is lined with sealing means on the inside which bear against the tubbing support during all movements of the shield tunnelling machine. <IMAGE>
