PURPOSE:To improve the coefficient of an active material whose principal product is cadmium oxide by adding anionic high polymer to the active material. CONSTITUTION:While cadmium oxide powder, metallic cadmium powder, and nickel powder are being mixed well, they are changed into slurry by adding an ethylene glycol solution containing anionic high polymer selected from carboxymethylcellulose, starch, and lignin sulfonic acid. Then, this slurry solution is filled with an active material by continuously passing and penetrating an alkaline-proof metal fiber sintering body into the solution. This slurry solution is dried partially in a drying machine consisting of infrared lamps and adjusted in specified thickness by a roller press. Subsequently, ethylene glycol is removed from the solution through a hot air drying machine. Finally, a plate is cut into preset size. |
