DISPROPORTIONATION CATALYST OF CHLOROSILANE

PURPOSE:To obtain a disproportionation catalyst of chlorosilane capable of performing disproportionation reaction at a low temp. within a short time and high in the conversion ratio thereof, by using specific composite tertiary amine and hydrochloride thereof. CONSTITUTION:The titled catalyst is based on composite tertiary amine (e.g., octyldibutylamine) represented by formulae R1R2N-R3 and R1R2N-R3H<+>Cl<-> (wherein R1-R3 are a 4-12C hydrocarbon group and all of them are different saturated hydrocarbon groups) and hydrochloride thereof. The addition amount of this disproportionation catalyst to chlorosilane is 2-50mol% and the ratio of hydrochloride of composite tertiary amine to composite tertiary amine is set to 2-80mol%. This disproportionation catalyst of chlorosilane can perform disproportionation reaction at a low temp. within a short time and can enhance the conversion ratio of chlorosilane.
