<p>Known filters which operate according to the deep bed filtration principle present the disadvantage of having a filter resistance which increases together with the utilization duration. By using a filter operating according to the superficial filtration principle, a constant efficiency is insured since foreign particles are deposited on a weather-proof, non hygroscopic sliding surface (5) and that they do not penetrate inside the filter element (3). The latter may be cleaned in a simple way if it was soiled during the back blowing operation.</p> |
