In order to have available at any time a protective car blind which is roof-mounted and extendable, a non-translucent film 1 is rolled up on the shaft 9 of the roller which is in turn mounted in the bearing block 2 which is welded to the floor 10, on which in each case two closable holders 4 are attached to the edges of the roof of the car on both sides. In the drawn-down state, the film 5 is held on the body of the vehicle by the gripping magnets 6. The film 5 is rolled up by the folding-in hand crank 3, all the deposits on the film 1 being removed by the protective and stripping blade 8. <IMAGE>
