Polyether-polyamines and polyether ammonium chlorides which are obtainable by the addition of up to 1.3 mol of an amine or amine mixture per 1 mol of reactive chlorine of an l-polychloropoly-etherpolyol with a functionality of 1.0-6.0 mol Cl/mole in the absence of solvents and subsequent reaction at 70-200 DEG C are intermediate products for introducing polyether segments into relatively high molecular weight compounds, they have surface-active properties and are suitable for dressing textiles as dispersants and emulsifiers and as demulsifiers or for foam production.
