摘要 The invention relates to a method for measuring the energy of charged particles aligned on a beam, which suffer energy losses due to absorption, and a device for carrying out the method. The object of the invention consists in developing the method in such a manner that one or more particular energy values can be set and monitored with a reproducible accuracy, for example for commissioning variable-energy accelerators, among others for activating machine parts for wear measurements. The solution is characterised by the fact that a) an absorption system is provided which is divided into several areas geometrically separated from one another, b) the beam current intensity can be adjusted by means of one area of the absorption system and c) an energy change in the particles can be determined by means of another area. The essential novelty of the invention accordingly consists in the checkability of energy measurements by means of a technically mature temperature measuring technique, taking into consideration and utilising the specific characteristics of the energy decrease of charged particles in matter.
