The invention relates to a method and devices for sealing the writing tips of automatic writing, drawing or recording installations which have at least one receiving head, one writing tip and one seal per writing tip, and a depot station, each writing tip being held in the position of rest by its own seal, and sealed airtight, the seal of the writing tip which is to be used being transported, before adopting the working position, to the depot station and stored there and, after the working phase, being connected again to the writing tip, and each change of position by the seal(s) and any seal supports that may be present taking place automatically.
