Apparatus for pulling metal strips into a strip-processing plant, comprising a pulling-in car (1), which comprises two gripping jaws (6, 7) for gripping the leading ends of the strips, wherein one of which gripping jaws is adapted to be forced against the other, characterized in that the one gripping jaw (6) constitutes the pole faces of at least one magnet (4), the armature (12) of which consists of the other gripping jaw (7), and that an actuator, preferably an actuating cylinder (8), is provided for moving that gripping jaw (7) which constitutes the armature (12) to a gripping position. |
