PURPOSE:To detect easily a defective area of a guide line for truck by storing the defective information if detected by a sensor in a driving mode of the truck in response to the position information on the driving path of the truck. CONSTITUTION:An image processing controller 8 discriminates with operation the lateral deviation amount of the body of a truck from a reflective tape 4 according to the side edges of a white part of a fetched picture at both ends in the lateral width direction of the tape 4 and a tape center stored previously. At the same time, the controller 8 compares a mark reading reference pattern stored previously with the fetched picture for discrimination. If a normal reading operation is impossible owing to the injuries of the tape 4, for example, this defective information is sent to a host controller 7. The controller 7 writes said defective information to a prescribed address area in response to the information on the driving path position. |
