PURPOSE:To enable the application to various input voltages without causing wasteful winding, by providing a plurality of windings and by connecting each of them in parallel or in series with the other. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the cross-sectional area of the winding material of windings 1 and 2 is x/2m<2> and that each winding is of n-times winding. Change-over switches a1 and a2 are provided for changing over the connections of the two ends B1 and A2 of the winding 1 with the two ends A1 and B2 of the winding 2. When the switches a1 and a2 are turned over onto the High side, the ends A1 and A2 are connected, and thereby the windings 1 and 2 are connected in series, thus a coil of 2n windings being formed on the primary side. When the switches a1 and a2 are turned over onto the Low side, on the other hand, the windings 1 and 2 are connected in parallel, and thus a coil of (n) windings is formed on the primary side. Accordingly, the transformer thus constructed is made applicable to the input voltage of 200V by turning the changeover switches a1 and a2 onto the High side, and to the input voltage of 100V by switching them onto the Low side. |
