PURPOSE:To prevent lubricating oil, supplied to a bearing, from scattering and flowing out with delivered gas into a refrigerating cycle, by arranging a cylindrical plate in the periphery of the upper bearing of a rotary type enclosed compressor so that a top end of the cylindrical plate may be positioned above the end of the upper bearing. CONSTITUTION:An enclosed type rotary compressor provides in the periphery of a gas vent hole 3b, provided in a shaft 3 between an electric motor 12 and a compressor part 6, a cylindrical oil-scatter preventing plate 17 in the periphery of an upper bearing 2 so that the top end of the cylindrical plate 17 may be positioned in the upper from the gas vent hole 3b. In this way, lubricating oil is prevented from flowing out with delivered gas into a refrigerating cycle by arranging the oil-scatter preventing plate so as to seize the lubricating oil, scattered by centrifugal force of the shaft 3 in the vicinity of the gas vent hole 3b and an upper end part 2a of the upper bearing, to be prevented from colliding against a rotor 4 of the electric motor 12.
