PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition giving a pressure-sensitive recording paper capable of printing clearly with favorable sensitivity, without contaminating the ground of the paper, comprising a wax and a colorless electron-donative organic dye and having a penetration not higher than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) waxes, preferably at least one of which has a penetration at 25 deg.C of not lower than 10, and (B) a colorless electron-donative organic dye, preferably, crystal violet lactone, benzoyl leucomethylene blue, malachite green lactone or the like, preferably, in an amount of 0.1-10wt%, preferably further comprises (C) zinc oxide, and has a penetration at 25 deg.C of not lower than 15. The composition is applied to a film or sheet form base I , and the resultant material is combined with a film or sheet form base coated with a color developer composition comprising an electron-acceptive adsorbing substance capable of coloring upon reaction with the former composition, to constitute a pressure-sensitive recording paper. |
