<p>PURPOSE:To improve reliability on control, by a method wherein, based on the load of an engine and the supercharging pressure of intake air, rapid acceleration is discriminated, and during discrimination of rapid acceleration, over- boost control is made on the sectional area of the variable exhaust gas introduction passage of a variable displacement turbo-charger. CONSTITUTION:During operation of an engine, in a control unit 59, from a intake air amount and the number of revolutions of an engine, which are determined by means of the outputs of an airflow meter 11 and a crank angle sensor, a fuel feed pulse width Tp is calculated. By means of a duty value determined by the value, electromagnetic balves 57 and 58 are controlled, and a proper supercharging pressure is introduced to an engine 1. If, by means of properties in term of a relation between the number of revolutions of the engine and the fuel feed pulse width and the supercharging pressure of intake air determined by the supercharging pressure sensor, it is decided that a turbo-charger is in a rapid acceleration condition, a moving tongue prt 25, located in an exhaust pipe 9 on the upper stream side of the turbine of the turbo-charger, is actuated by an actuator 33 to perform over-boost control.</p> |
