Seal for a window pane guided in a frameless fashion in the body of a motor vehicle. A seal is proposed having a cavity for a window pane which is guided in a frameless fashion in the body of a motor vehicle, a lip with a greater degree of material rigidity than the rest of the seal being formed onto the seal, the window pane sliding along the said lip when it is not in the completely closed position. In addition, the lip forms a pane-directing element for the prestressed window pane and guides the latter into its closed position in which its edge interacts with a web which bounds the cavity towards the window pane. Here, the lip rests against the inside of the window pane and forms a second seal. |
