The invention achieves this object in the following fashion: When the feed frame 4 with carriage 2 is placed on the container 10, which is fastened on an operating plate by means of suction devices 11, the cutting process can commence in a closed casing. By insertion of the plant products to be cut into the filling hopper 1 (Figure 1 + 2) once and by displacement of the carriage 2 by the operator using one hand, the plant product is guided on the cutting comb plate 5 towards the cutters 6, as a result of which the plant product receives longitudinal cuts, the spacing of which is determined by the number of cutters 6. The longitudinally cut plant product then enters the rotatably mounted angular cutter 7, a movement which is generated by connecting the bevel wheels 8 and by the operator actuating the crank handle 9 with his/her other hand, the said plant product then being diced in a sequence of horizontal and vertical cuts (angular cutting). The forward movement and the cutting thickness are determined by the inclination of the offset cutter 7. The resulting cubes drop into the container 10 through a cutout 12 in the feed frame 4. <IMAGE>
