PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by connecting a heater element to a power source through a diode, and connecting an electromagnetic sound generating region temperature evading changeover switch in parallel to the diode, in the title electric stove with a vertical type quartz tube heater. CONSTITUTION:A power source switch 6, a diode 10 and a heater element 9 are connected in series to the power source 11, and a changeover switch 7 is connected in parallel to both ends of the diode 10. Furthermore, the stove comprises the heater element 9 made up of an Fe-Cr-Al system electric wire which puts a quartz tube heater into a hermetically adhered state such as a coil shape, and the surface of the heater element 9 is covered in an insulating manner. The diameter of the electric wire is selected in such a current density that the wire becomes slightly red hot when a half-wave current is supplied. By this construction, the power consumption is reduced and the electromagnetic sound generating region temperature can be evaded. |
