PURPOSE:To measure the weight of a body suspended from a crane in a short time by using a load cell and an accelerometer. CONSTITUTION:The load cell 4 and accelerometer 5 are fitted to the lower part of the cable 3 of the crane and the body 2 drawn up from the water is suspended under the load cell 4. Outputs of the load cell 4 and accelerometer 5 are inputted to a dividing circuit DIV through preamplifiers RAM1 and RAM2 and low-pass filters F1 and F2 and the rate (weight measured value) of the output of the load cell 4 to the output of the accelerometer 5 which is calculated by the circuit DIV is stored in an MEM. The difference between each weight measured value which is obtained with time and the last weight measured value stored in the storage part MEM is calculated by a subtracting part DIF and the difference approximates to zero as water 12 falls; and a comparison CMP calculates the difference between a reference value which is inputted to and held in a reference difference value holding part REF previously and the output of the subtracting part DIF. Then when the output of the comparator CMP becomes minus, tare weight stored in the storage part MEM is substracted from the output of the circuit DIV by an approximate weight calculating part CAL.
