Method for detecting the presence in a moving fluid of certain substances in particular dissolved ones, consisting in the following operations : immersing in the fluid of a sensing element (1, 10) comprising sensing centers capable of chemically retaining such substances present in the fluid, said element being shaped in such a way that said sensing centers are in contact with the moving fluid, leaving said element (1, 16) to dwell in the fluid for a given time period, and making an analysis of said element (1, 16) in order to detect the possible retention of said substances present in the fluid during the given time period, said method comprising no filtering operation.
