PURPOSE:To reduce a waste of time and to improve the copying efficiency by setting a prescanning section in accordance with a copy magnification. CONSTITUTION:While the first and the second optical running bodies 21 and 24 go forward, an original on a contact glass 2 is scanned and exposed, and the reflected light is projected onto a photosensitive drum 5 through a lens 25 and a mirror 26. The first optical running body 21 is provided with a detecting plate, and this detecting plate is provided with sensors which detect plural return positions different from one another when the first optical running body 21 returns. The scanning and exposure speed is changed in accordance with the copy magnification, and the outputs of the sensor in the rear position is moe selected in quantity as the scanning and exposure speed is higher, and the return stop operation of the first optical running body 21 is performed. |
