PURPOSE:To provide a thick coating paint compsn. which can give a thick coating film of 45-55mu and is freed from the problem of causing sagging and bleed- through, containing a vehicle consisting of a alkyd resin having a specified oil length and a specified number-average MW and an acrylic resin having a specified number-average MW. CONSTITUTION:A paint compsn. contains a vehicle consisting of an alkyd resin having an oil length of 25% or below and a number-average MW of 1,000-5,000 and an acrylic resin having a number-average MW of 10,000-30,000 in a ratio of alkyd resin to acrylic resin of 70/30-98/2. Examples of the alkyd resins having an oil length of 25% of below and a number-average MW of 1,000-5,000 are those composed of an alcohol such as ethylene glycol or trimethylolpropane and an acid such as phthalic anhydride or adipic acid. Optionally, not more than 25% natural oil such as coconut oil or soybean oil or synthetic fatty acid may be used in the alkyd resin.
