<p>The device consists of a hydraulic jack (20) inserted between two elements (12, 16) transmitting the rolling force to the frame (1) of the mill stand. The chamber (23) of the jack (20) is filled with a pressurised liquid and communicates, via a valve (40), with a zone for discharging the pressurised liquid. The valve (40) is associated with means holding it closed during normal operation of the mill and enabling it to open for discharging the liquid in the event of a specific pressure being exceeded in the chamber (23) of the jack (20) resulting from too great an increase in the rolling force. <IMAGE></p> |
